FIDE Rules and FIDE IDs
- All categories are FIDE rated, and the FIDE Law of Chess shall be applied.
- Players must have a FIDE ID.
- If you do not yet have a FIDE ID, please contact your federation’s rating officer to obtain one. You may also contact us if you need assistance with the process.
- Standard Open : Players of all rating ranges.
- Standard Challenger : Players rated below 2000 and unrated.
- Blitz : Players of all rating ranges.
- Super Rapid section is open to players of all rating ranges.
- Youth Rapid U13 : Players born on January 1, 2013 or younger
- Youth Rapid U11 : Players born on January 1, 2015 or younger
- Youth Rapid U9 : Players born on January 1, 2017 or younger
- Youth Rapid U7 : Players born on January 1, 2019 or younger
- Duo Blitz : Players of all rating ranges. Two players per team. No average rating limit.
- Players must confirm their presence at the registration desk at least 30 minutes before the start of the first round to be paired.
- In case you are not able to show up due to any special circumstances (e.g. your flight is delayed or the traffic doesn't go as planned), please notify any of the organizing team members via direct message or email in advance and we will reserve your name in the pairings.
- Players in the Standard Open and Standard Challenger may request a half-point bye twice from round 1 to 7.
- Half-point bye requests must be submitted before the pairing of the round is made.
- Players must dress appropriately.
- Players must agree and consent that the organizer may publish photographs as well as other media taken at the event, including those of minors and juniors. Any publication of such media is at the sole discretion of the organizer.
- If there are any additional rules or changes, the Chief Arbiter may announce them.
- The arbiter's decisions are final.
- Players must understand and agree to the Tournament Rules and Regulations.
