BIG ROOK AFTER-WORK TOURNAMENTS

REGULATIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. These Regulations are last updated on 14th September 2022 and will be applied to all Big Rook After-Work tournaments in the future until the next update.
2. The tournament takes place on 5 evenings, from Monday to Friday, at Big Rook Chess Academy. The date of each tournament is published in advance on our Facebook page and on our website.
3. All players who have FIDE ID Numbers are eligible to play. However, the organizer keeps the right to refuse entry to a player without necessarily providing a reason.
4. Players who do not have a FIDE ID Number yet but wish to play, can contact the organizer for assistance.
5. The number of players is limited due to the capacity of the venue and the registrations will be closed once the maximum number of players will be reached.

SYSTEM AND TIME CONTROL
6. This is a 5-round Swiss tournament. The pairings will be done with the Swiss Manager program. The tournaments will be played by Swiss Pairing System.
7. The time control is 60 minutes per player with 30 seconds of increment per move.
8. FIDE Laws of Chess shall apply.
9. Players are obliged to record the moves and keep the scoresheet updated at all times.

Tuesday
- 19:00 Round 2

Wednesday
- 19:00 Round 3

Thursday
- 19:00 Round 4

Friday
- 19:00 Round 5
- 22:00 Awarding Ceremony

PRIZES
11. The prizes are as follows:
- 1st place 2000 THB
- 2nd place 1500 THB
- 3rd place 1000 THB

REGISTRATION FEE AND PROCESS
12. The registration fee is 1000 Baht.
13. We accept only registrations that will come through the online registration forms. However, players can contact us for assistance.
14. After filling up the registration form, please proceed with the payment and attach a photo or screenshot by the registration form as an evidence of payment. You can transfer the registration fees to our bank account:

REFUND POLICY
15. The organizer reserves the right to not make any refunds for cancellations who fail to provide an appropriate reason.
16. In case the organizer announces the cancellation of the tournament on that edition, the organizer will fully refund the payment to the players.

PHOTOS AND MEDIA
17. By registering for the tournaments, you accept that your face may appear on photos and videos made during the tournament, which may be published on our website and our social media pages. Where the players are minors, their parents accept this condition by registering their children.
